Memorial Flower:
Jasenovac Memorial Site, with the Memorial Museum, was founded in 1968 at the suggestion of the Federation of War Veterans' Organizations (SUBNOR) of the Socialist Republic of Croatia, then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Jasenovac Memorial Site was founded with the task of compiling, scientifically processing and exhibiting museum and archive material concerning the Ustasha Jasenovac Concentration Camp, to care for the memorial area and the mass graves of the former Ustasha camp and, by telling the truth about what happened to the victims of the Jasenovac camps, to build an attitude of respect for human differences among young people today.
Score Board:
Built in 2006, this memorial site was built to represent the death toll estimates in the Jasenovac camp. Only 87 people survived this camp out of a astonishing 80,000 dead. Inside the Jasenovac camp the largest number of victims were Serbs, with Jews following right behind.
